It is time to reimagine parenting.
The current expectations and norms for parents in our dominant culture lead to chronic stress and anxiety for both adults and children alike. As parents, we are often exhausted, frustrated, and overwhelmed.
It doesn’t have to look like this. We can embrace a way of leading our families that allows us to worry less and nurture more, fear less and trust more, compare less and honor more the complexities that make our children - and all children - beautifully human.
To do this, we must move from parenting on autopilot to parenting with intention and clarity. Because it is never as easy as just telling our kids what we want them to do or how we want them to be.
What matters most is what we do and how we show up, day in and day out.
Ways that we can work together:
During this 6 week group, you will gain clarity and confidence to show up as the parent you want to be. Each week, you will learn new research-based practices in partnership with other parents to build your capacity to nurture health in your home. These same practices are also shown to reduce parental stress and anxiety.
This series will fortify your foundation for raising kids that can cope with challenges, embrace their inherent self-worth and contribute to an equitable society.
Mindful Parenting Group:
1:1 Parent Coaching
Mindful Parenting Coaching offers parents a short-term opportunity to learn the core concepts and tools within this model. Over the course of 6-8 sessions, parents begin to identify patterns or habitual responses that aren't working, explore triggers and knee-jerk responses, and learn brief mindfulness practices that can help reduce stress reactivity. In-between sessions, parents are given home practices and reflection worksheets so they can try out new practices at home.
